Anthony Trionfo, Flute

 
 

Anthony Trionfo, praised by The New York Times as a “breezily virtuosic flutist,” is an active solo, chamber, and orchestral musician. He appears regularly with the Kaleidoscope Chamber Orchestra, Jupiter Chamber Players, Erie Philharmonic, and ProMusica Chamber Orchestra of Columbus. In 2025, he joined the legendary Dorian Wind Quintet. Recent concerto appearances include the Edmonton Symphony and Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. He has presented recitals with pianist Albert Cano Smit for the Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota, the Morgan Library & Museum, and the Cosmos Club in Washington, DC. Trionfo is a founder of the Umoja Flute Institute, a nonprofit supporting flutists of African descent. He serves on the Aspen Music Festival and School’s IDEA Committee and has collaborated with the Sphinx Organization, DC Youth Orchestra Program, and Harmony Program. A First Prize winner of the 2016 Young Concert Artists Susan Wadsworth International Auditions, he has presented masterclasses at Florida State University, Ithaca College, and Juilliard. He holds BM and MM degrees with teaching certification from the Colburn School, where he studied with James Walker, and is a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy.
