Megan Koch, Cello

Megan Koch is a cellist who has been residing in Rhode Island since 2011. She returned in 2022 after a two-year stint in California. She has been a permanent member of the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra since 2024. As an avid chamber musician, Megan has performed chamber music throughout the New England area. Megan also enjoys a global reach through music, teaching with Musicians for the World. In 2024, she traveled to Iquitos, Peru, and led a cello workshop through an initiative with Musicians for the World and EcoAcordes. Closer to home, Megan maintains a private cello studio and is the lead educator of Kingston Chamber Music Festival’s String Advancement Program. In the summers, she teaches at URI Summer Music Academy.
