Miguel Vásquez, Cello

 
 

Miguel Vásquez (he/him), an accomplished performer and educator based in New England, has participated in numerous music festivals, including the Tanglewood Music Center, Ogunquit Chamber Music Festival, Panama Jazz Festival, and the Youth Orchestra of the Americas. His performances have taken place at venues globally, such as Carnegie Hall, Seiji Ozawa Hall, Jordan Hall, Boston Symphony Hall, Palacio de Bellas Artes, Groton Hill Music Center, and Calderwood Hall at ISGM. Miguel has collaborated with a diverse range of artists, including Castle of Our Skins, the Isidore String Quartet, Kinan Azmeh, Danilo Perez, John Patitucci, Emanuel Ax, James Ehnes, Zuill Bailey, Angela Meade, and many others. Miguel holds degrees from the Longy School of Music at Bard College, Emerson College, and the New England Conservatory. His cello teachers include Mihail Jojatu and Yeesun Kim.
